About Us

Sutro Science was established by Justin Taplin and Peter Hudson in 2016. Pete and Justin have been collaborating as senior technical managers for over a decade. Together, they conduct, peer review, interpret, and manage complex technical assessments and environmental evaluations for environmental planning and compliance efforts. 

Sutro Science builds on this experience, providing hydrologic, geologic, groundwater, storm water, water quality, and fisheries based technical, policy, and regulatory support for all phases of the environmental planning, review, and compliance process. We bring unique expertise in applying a science-based approach to support CEQA and NEPA environmental impact analyses. Our clients include federal, state, county, city, and private stakeholders.
